Reuters reported today that Tropical Storm Alex made landfall in Belize, dumping rain on that country, as well as Guatemala and parts of the Yucatan Peninsula. The Guatemalan Deputy Foreign Minister visited New York yesterday and spent a bit of time meeting with local Guatemalan citizens.
